Our story
Durham Tree Care operates from 590 Granite Ct, Pickering, ON L1W 3X6, serving Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Port Perry, Bowmanville and the surrounding east GTA. We are local arboriculture specialists, and the urban canopy we care for is the one we drive past every day — which is why retention is always on the table before removal.
Most of the trees we service sit behind a fence, over a septic bed, or within a few feet of a neighbour's roofline. That reality shaped our fleet: a 33-inch tracked spider lift, narrow-access grinders, and rigging systems that lower wood rather than drop it.

Every job is diagnosed and directed by a certified arborist. Structure, decay, species biology and target zones are assessed before anyone recommends removal over retention.
ANSI A300 pruning standards
Cuts are prescribed to the ANSI A300 standard and ISA best management practices — proper collar cuts, defined dose, no topping and no spikes on living trees.
WSIB & $5M liability compliance
Current WSIB clearance and $5,000,000 commercial general liability coverage, both supplied in writing before work begins. Never accept a tree quote without them.
